Annie Gough
MA Textile Design
As a textile designer, my practice centers on the transformation of fabric through screen printing and hand painting. Each surface I design is conceived as a site of expression—where pattern, color, and texture invite interaction and reinterpretation across different contexts.
Screen printing provides a framework for structured repetition and graphic clarity, while painting on fabric introduces fluidity, gesture, and variation. This combination allows me to explore a spectrum that ranges from precise patternmaking to expressive, painterly surfaces. By embracing both disciplines, I produce textiles that are versatile in application—capable of functioning as independent artworks, as dynamic fashion statements, or as immersive elements within interior spaces.
