Emma Bidwell
MA Fine Art
Throughout my MA degree, I have specialised in printmaking to communicate how memory loss can be conveyed by pushing the boundaries of traditional image-making and screen-printing while breaking conventions in painting and photography.
Alongside studying, I used every opportunity to gain experience to equip myself for the future. I co-organised and curated an external exhibition, spoke as a keynote speaker in a symposium focusing on ‘time’ and was head panel leader in another symposium on the subject of ‘pose’. I have also created a series of collaborative works with a peer to enrich my experience as a student, artist and collaborator.
In the future, I am looking to collaborate with schools, care homes and community groups to open difficult discussions about time, change and local politics through an open and artistically playful lens.
