MA Communication Design

Completing a bachelor’s degree in Illustration laid the foundation for my creative journey, instilling in me a deep understanding of visual storytelling, composition, type, and the use of colour theory. This allowed me to explore a wide range of techniques such as traditional drawing, printmaking, and digital illustration which resulted in the refining of my personal style.

However, it wasn’t until pursuing a master’s degree that I focused more closely on branding and visual identities. Here I learnt how illustration can serve and become a defining element of a brands identity. The array of outcomes created for my major project shows my dedication to creating content that supports causes that are affected by societal or environmental change. Through the use of collaboration, I have been able to produce a collection of products that all bring awareness to the same cause, of protecting and supporting the Broads National Park.
