The MA Textile Design course has led me through a journey of discovery about myself as a creative practitioner. Merging research and practice within my studies, I am fascinated by the imprints left by stains on surface materials and by how they depict meaning, personality and feelings.

When creating textile art pieces, I investigate the beauty of me, my family, my community, and my domestic environment, and how they instigate the emotional recollection of memories.

My work embodies the balance of my multiple facets. I am an artist, and also a woman. I am a mother, and still, I am an artist.
