Martina Katumba

MA Communication Design

As an artist and academic, childlike play and creative inquiry are at the forefront of my work. I enjoy using research to unpack topics in depth. It’s important to me to find new ways of tackling hard issues that inspire the audience to participate, question, and play.

My master’s degree from Norwich University of the Arts has allowed me to grow my creative and spiritual practice and has given me the confidence to dive deeper into the world of art education, a sector that holds deep importance to me. As I progress from my masters I aim to continue to use my art to unpack the systemic issues that lie within education.

Although I have a background in Graphic Design, I enjoy using a combination of analogue techniques to create my work and push my research-based practice.
