Angelina Nolasco da Silva
BA Animation
My name is Angie. I am a stop motion fabricator, painter and illustrator. As seen through my work, I take a lot of inspiration from my cultures, stories and art around me. Within stop motion, I am most fascinated by the fabrication and sculpting process of puppets and sets. I am a dedicated artist that works well in collaboration but also has a lot of creativity and discipline in my work.
Although my student film shows off my skills in fabrication, lighting and filming, I still have a lot to learn, and I always strive to expand my knowledge in these areas through experimentation and always trying something new.
Besides my focus on technical skills, I have also developed a lot of transferrable skills such as flexibility, adaptability, multi-tasking and organisation. These are reflected from my time at university in areas like in individual and group projects, as well as my part-time job where these were built through non-creative circumstances.
