Eleanor Lewis
BA Design for Publishing
My design practice is defined by my love of the handmade and organic, and how I combine these visuals with sharp, clean design to create something clear, yet unique in a mass-produced world. While I chose print as my medium to develop my visual communication skills, I’m not committed to it; I love to explore how these skills are applicable across formats. I chose publishing due to my interest in storytelling as how we make sense of the world – both through fiction and non-fiction.
I hope to design primarily for the conservation and environment fields. These are key issues of our time, and I feel that the best use of my skills is to contribute to action around these topics through effective communication with the broader public.
However, I am interested in working in a wide range of graphic design contexts, and hope to tackle a variety of design challenges. Wherever I’m working, I hope to spend time on my interest in typeface design, making unique and custom fonts available to people.
