My graduate collection, titled ‘Structural Silhouettes’ delves into the relationship between the body and knit, exploring exaggerated forms within an unconventional fashion framework.
Taking inspiration from architectural structures, these pieces are crafted through a collection of knitted fabrics, fitted to form a structural garment shape. The assembly of these fabrics aspires to push boundaries, encouraging innovative thinking through various industrial techniques and sustainable materials.
Throughout my graduate collection my independent learning and resilience have strengthened, proving myself able to withstand the pressures of a final major collection.
During my final major project, I have seen the most significant growth within my creative practise, and myself as an individual.
To be awarded with creative concept for my collection by Monica Cass was not only a positive moment for myself, but a moment I was able to see how far I have come over the past three years.
