Erin Curtis
BA Games Art and Design
I’m a generalist concept artist focused on mood, atmosphere, and worldbuilding, inspired by gothic architecture, haunting sci-fi, and melancholy fantasy. My work features immersive characters and environments, combining illustration with growing 3D skills. My research explored gender equality in male-dominated spaces—something I prioritise as a woman in the games industry.
In my FMP, I showcased strong female protagonists through environment design, such as reimagining Howl’s Moving Castle from Sophie’s perspective. I am passionate about adapting literature into visual art.
I also led the M.A.R.S. music society and managed its social media, winning an award and developing communication and design skills.
Game jams and projects with OddBug Studio and Infinite Form taught me project scaling, teamwork, and adaptability, strengthening my leadership, organisation, and creative problem-solving abilities.
