Coming into university, I had little experience in art education, and yet I was still able to see my work improve. My time in Illustration has sufficiently built up my skills in technical drawing, problem-solving, and communicating with a client.

Additionally, my love for storytelling has only grown, as I have had the freedom to explore narratives that I believe are important to our contemporary society and that interest me personally.

When faced with a particularly difficult composition or colour choice, the use of peer and tutor feedback has helped to push my work past what I am comfortable with, leading to a new focus on creative risk-taking.

Taking on the lessons I have learned, I believe I am able to reach the future career that I want, while leaning on personal development as a goal.
