BA Photography
My photographic practice is based in film and cinema. I am interested in how we construct characters and the stories that we create for them. My work focuses on scale and drama, I am always wanting to create an eye-catching image with interesting uses of colour, composition and overall production. Using this approach I work with actors and models where together we create a scene with a specific look, feel and mood. My style can be described as having an illusion of movement contrasted with the inherent stillness of a single image. Influenced by cinema I am engaging with themes of storytelling and character creation.
I am a unit stills photographer capturing behind the scenes magic on film productions and sets. In my personal work I explore the idea of removing context from scenes and am influenced by film stills and cinema. This is something I am passionate about and it drives me to keep expanding my network of the people within the industry.
