BA Illustration
As an illustrator, I strive to communicate with my audience through visual narratives. Within my practice, I am constantly looking for new exciting yet thoughtful ways to engage, educate, and prompt important discussions. My creative practice is inspired by history and nature, brought to life by characters, texture and line weight.
Throughout my degree, I have been inspired by many briefs to explore and deliver projects for various audiences with different backgrounds and age ranges. I believe this has made me a driven and organised practitioner with a keen eye for details.
For my final university project, I developed a brief that challenged me to write and illustrate a 32-page children’s book set in England in the early 1940s, in only 6 months. The project required me to perform detailed research and extensive visual experimentation. The book presented an array of challenges but by persevering and meeting the deadline I gained an immeasurable amount of experience.
