Leo Sunins
BA Design for Publishing
As an Editorial Graphic Designer, I have always strived to develop designs that take the audience on a journey, and this can especially be seen through my work involving the use of abstract photography within my editorial / book cover designs.
My work experience in volunteering at the Norwich Printing Museum (Letterpress) has taught me to understand the importance of composition with typography and the significance of traditional analogue methods.
My interest in photography has teamed with my love for design and communicating a journey, this can be seen through the two-day David Pearson workshop, which opened my eyes to the possibilities of abstract photography manipulation within my book cover designs, but tested my resilience in approaching tight deadlines and staying calm under pressure which allowed me to pave the way to finishing the brief whilst also conveying a message through the work itself.
