I’m Madeleine Hoyte, led by my interest in psychology and UX, I’ve spent the past year developing a research study and my own theory that explores the effect of personality type on user behaviour. I’m super excited about research and channeling this into creating experiences tailored to the people that use them.

I've been diving deep into the correlation between personality types and interface preferences, inspired by Gretchen Rubin's Four Tendencies theory
I completed around 40 experiments to uncover patterns between personality type and how long they took signing up to a website (1), as well as how often they looked at a character on the screen (2).
Further interviews revealed a pattern of design preferences that correlated to a person's personality type. I assigned these to 4 user 'roles.' The determiner, adherer, explorer and discerner. These next two slides display quotes from each role.
