Hi, I’m Ria Popat! I currently specialise in Food and Drink Photography but am also very interested in Architectural Photography. I particularly enjoy conveying the creative process of constructing edible items as well as the finished product. Having loved Photography since the age of 7, I’ve always found a thrill in producing images that capture significant moments in time. I have also broadened my interest in Photography to experimenting with Moving Image.

This particular series of work strives to enrich and inculcate you as the viewer, as you navigate your way through this introspective journey. The use of a warm colour palette serves to give rise to a sense of nostalgia as well as comfort. Working closely alongside my mother in the kitchen, this series shows the multifaceted aspects of my upbringing as well as my relationship with the Indian culture coupled with Kenyan/Ugandan influence.
