Sophie Markovits
BA Graphic Communication
From my three years of study on the BA Graphic Communication course, I have uncovered a flair for well-crafted design, wit and wordplay. Harnessing the power of positive change through design, my projects have centred taboo subjects and overlooked audiences. The ideation process of a brief brings me the most joy. I discover insights that can help an audience translate a difficult subject. This encouraged me to focus on the relatability of humour by striving for unconventional ideas.
Collaboration holds a significance in my process which I discovered by avidly working with others throughout my university experience. By having an appreciation for the universal language of design, it all leads back to a love of copywriting and advertising for me, which is where I see myself landing post-graduation. Most importantly, I have a drive to create meaningful work that captures attention and educates.
