BA Design for Publishing
I’m Tom, a Design for Publishing graduate specialising in editorial design. My passion is composition and layout, focusing on crafting simplicity to be beautiful. My degree has equipped me with skills in team leadership, proactive engagement with feedback and an experimental approach to design.
This, paired with my familiarity with Adobe software, allows me to focus on learning through exploration. A key aspect of my identity as a designer is collaboration. I often engage in projects with other designers to create larger-scale outcomes, learning from their styles and experiences as a result.
This is shown through Storehouse magazine, I progressed from a designer to being the Head of the Editorial Team for two issues. Working with a team of that scale was an incredibly insightful experience.
I am excited to continue to develop my creative knowledge. I am committed, enthusiastic, and ambitious about my outcomes, aiming to create sleek and engaging designs.
