Abigail Payne
BA Fine Art
Abigail Payne is a printer, photographer and painter following ideas of the passage of time, natures process of reclaiming and climate change. The photos taken for these prints were from a 23 ruined church long road trip taking several days, stopping at sites like St Mary’s (Saxlingham), St George (Hindolveston) and St Peter (North Burlingham).
Similarly, these fabric prints follow the process of developing cyanotypes, placing sheets of acetate on fluid covered paper in the sun. These outcomes were then scanned and printed onto silk organza to create a faded outcome. The processes of these techniques tie into the exploration of Payne’s core themes.
