Emily Chan
BA Animation and Visual Effects
Hello! I am Emily Chan, a 2026 graduate from Animation and Visual Effects who specializes in 3D modelling. During my university years, I have acquired fundamental skills in 3D modelling, and confident software skills in using Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Blender to create production ready 3D models.
As I have always enjoyed stylized animation and games, such as Made in Abyss and Hollow Knight, being able to bring interesting characters and props to life has always been what I want to do in my future.
For my final year project, I was able to get fully familiarized with the full CGI animation standard character modelling pipeline by creating a character and an asset from concept to fully textured models. I also got the opportunity to collaborate with rigging disciplinary artists Clara Nitsche and Willow Crespin, who helped rig the character and pickaxe model, pushing me to be able to create an idle animation and pose the models for my showreel.
