Jessica Crocker
BA Interior Design
My work explores sensory-led interior design and how spaces can support wellbeing, comfort and human connection. I am particularly interested in euro-inclusive environments and creating interiors that feel calming, welcoming and emotionally aware.
My final project, Solace Community Hub, reimagines the Iron Duke building as a sensory- led community space for neurodivergent adults. Through zoning, materiality and adaptive reuse, the proposal balances social interaction with moments of retreat.
My design process combines sketching, crafting and digital tools, including SketchUp, Enscape and InDesign, to create an atmospheric and human-centred spatial experience. I aim to create spaces that feel inclusive, emotionally supportive and socially meaningful through thoughtful sensory design.
I enjoy exploring atmosphere, materiality, and spatial storytelling to create interiors that encourage interaction, comfort, and belonging within community spaces for diverse users and support wellbeing.
