BA Interior Design
I see Interior Design as a storytelling tool, where stories are expressed through various spatial strategies. I aim to create immersive interiors, where narrative and user experience form the basis of the design. This relates to my interests in the fields of museum design, production design and pop-up design.
My final Project ‘Memoria Viva’ is a counter-memorial and a leisure space looking into the overlooked stories of Ancient Roman women through an immersive spatial experience. The space is divided in 3 phases (concealment, awakening and reclaiming), mimicking Roman women’s journey to self-expression and self-discovery. Memory becomes continuous and shaped my interaction, movement and collective presence; rejecting memorials’ monumentality.
This design challenges traditional forms of commemoration that often exclude or silence marginal stories. It transforms absence into presence by creating a platform for memory, connection, dialogue and self-discovery.
