Amelia Ranger
BA Fine Art
I am a BA Fine Art graduate from Norwich University of the Arts whose practice explores how gendered labour, material value, and textile processes have been overlooked and made invisible. Working with fabric manipulation and embroidery, I create layered surfaces that record time, repetition and touch.
Grounded in research, I draw on feminist theory and material histories to question how labour is seen and valued.
Alongside my studio practice, I am interested in shaping how audiences encounter art. I have contributed to the Dialogue: Collection Response project with the Sainsbury Centre, supported exhibitions and events at The Arts Station (Saxmundham) and Firstsite (Colchester) and led art workshops in schools across Norwich.
I approach projects as both a maker and facilitator: attentive to detail, responsive, and interested in creating spaces where engagement feels active rather than prescribed. I am particularly drawn to roles that connect curation, learning and public participation.
