Holly Browning is an impassioned artist who uses her own personal history to fuel her practice. She draws on her past of growing up with disordered eating and the
various ways it affected her challenging relationships with both food and her body as she’s grown older. She has explored these complicated feelings with her newest fascination with white chocolate, creating life casts of her body that are sculpted out of chocolate.

She has chosen to display these chocolate body parts in a buffet table style, a table full of elegant silver and crystal ware atop a regal purple tablecloth. The high fat content of white chocolate influenced her choice of title, ‘You are what you eat’, creating a beautiful connection to her body and her past with food. These casts form an alternative viewing point of her body, allowing her to see what others see and not just a reflection.
